⁸ And Jesse called Abinadab, and brought him before Samuel; and he said, Neither the Lord hath chosen this (and he said, The Lord hath not chosen this man either).

⁹ And Jesse brought forth Shammah; of whom Samuel said, Also the Lord hath not chosen this (man).

¹⁰ And so Jesse brought forth his seven sons before Samuel (And so Jesse brought forth seven of his sons before Samuel); and Samuel said to Jesse, The Lord hath chosen none of these.
